kW DM25 DAC & Transport from Musical Fidelity The latest offering from Musical Fidelity in their superb kW range caters for music lovers who have accepted that CD’s can actually sound very good, or in the case of the DM25 combo, brilliant! While the battles lines are drawn in the SACD/DVD-A debate, the humble CD is the logical format with no limit to the material available. By designing the DM25 Transport and DAC Musical Fidelity “strive to wring every drop of performance from a standard CD”. The DM25 Transport can only be used in conjunction with the DM25 DAC as it feature AES/EBU digital balanced outputs at 96kHz. The transport is twin Choke Regulated with separate CR power supplies for the motor, servo system and digital electronics. The chasis is also isolated from acoustic feedback by it’s turntable-style isolation system. Unlike the transport the DAC has connectivity options for those not looking to upgrade their existing transport. The DM25 Dac will convert Coax and Toslink with separate regulated power supply for each input. Dual DAC’s on each channel upsample to 24bit at 192kHz. This unit will also run a MuVista tube output and Class A solid state output simultaneously. Our first two shipments of these have been pre-sold due to some fantastic reviews the kWDM25 has received. The KW250s ( "s" stands for six, as in six different products inside one box ) is an all in one high performance system. Designed for music lovers wanting to get rid of all the "boxes and wires" without a sonic sacricifice. The KW250s shares the same tube hybrid pre-amp/phono stage as the KW500 matched with a pair of 250watt mono blocs. While the housing is the same size as a KW500 the 250s also incorporates a high fidelity CD Player, FM Dab Tuner DAC, and Phono stage. The 24bit CD player is 192k upsampling based on KW technology, and the KW 250s also has a super quality digital input.
